Sammons Auto Repair & Performance is a family-owned and operated shop built on decades of experience, long-held trust in the community, and the support of family and friends.

Our Story

Fred Sammons is the owner and operator of Sammons Auto Repair & Performance and brings over 30 years of hands-on automotive experience across Northeast Arkansas. For decades, Fred built his reputation working for and alongside others in the industry, earning the trust of customers through honest diagnostics, dependable repairs, and a strong work ethic. Over time, that trust grew—and with the encouragement and support of family, friends, and longtime customers, Fred finally felt the calling to open his own shop.

Sammons Auto Repair & Performance represents the culmination of those years of experience and relationships. The shop was founded on the same principles Fred has always stood by: do the job right, treat people fairly, and stand behind your work.

Fred’s wife, Mykal Ann, a lifelong Jonesboro resident, has been a constant source of support from the beginning. She assists with the financial and administrative side of the business and helps ensure the shop runs smoothly day to day. Her deep connection to the community reflects the family’s roots and commitment to the area.

Their son, Nathan, supports the business with operations, planning, and long-term strategy. While attending college in Vermont, Nathan remains actively involved, helping modernize systems, improve organization, and support the shop however needed—always staying connected to the family business and its future.

Beyond the Shop

When you can’t find the Sammons family working in the shop, you’ll often find them at the racetrack or traveling together, enjoying the same passion for cars, competition, and time spent as a family that inspired the business in the first place.
